Spotted: Bloomberg - Queue it up
New thing… I’ve been doing this offline for a while, now going to start posting interesting feature I spot as I navigate the Interwebs. By adding something to your queue, you have a couple of benefits 1) take the stories with you… get your queue on a mobile device or anywhere. 2) New suggestions based on what you have in your queue.
I like it, because it provides multiple...

Nook-it
I am torn. I just finished reading an e-book… the first I’ve read since e-readers really became popular… and I don’t know if I should continue reading e-books or go back to paper. To some extent, I’d like to be a purist and read the printed word, but the words are the same, and the e-book is far more convenient. So, I think what it gets down to, is how much is it...
4sq really made me fell guilty about uninstalling with their “you were one of our first 10K users email”… so I’m hooked again. it worked.
Today’s groupon is $5 for a $10 kick in the crotch.
Finished reading my first (maybe last) nook book on my iphone. Good book. Okay experience.

Writing.
A long time ago, when I ditched Lopico and started looking for my next project, I started writing fiction. I had a few other ideas for different sites that I wanted to create, but I decided to spurn them all in favor of writing. I was working on what I hoped to be a novel at the time, and I decided I needed to focus. To have just one project. So, I gave up writing code, and started writing...

Switching from Android to iPhone...
So… I switched. I was a pretty big fan of my Droid. Proud of it. Proud of the fact that it wasn’t an iPhone. That it was “Open”. That it was all the things the commercials told me that it was.
But I’m not really a hacker anymore, I must admit. And I didn’t do anything special with my droid, just used it. And whenever it received an over the air upgrade, it...

Top three books...
I read this year… though none of them were published this year:
1. Spooner by Pete Dexter. Perhaps my favorite book of all time.
2. Then we came to the end by Joshua Ferris.
3. Let the great world spin by Colum McCann.
Think about: why are books published in hard cover? 1) they are harder to carry around… 2) they disuade me from purchasing them because I know a cheaper more...
